Building is too heavy for defying the gravity according to many people. However, it seems like many architects try to break the limit in the architecture design including by creating buildings which can defy gravity like 13 of them below. Terunobu Fujimori is the architect from Japan that is famous for the design of unique tea houses. They are perch high for seeing the surrounding landscape view. 9. Astra Kulturhaus Berlin

People can see a tower on a stick which is main design of this building. It can make everyone in the neighborhood nervous. It becomes the location of brewery produced beer with Astra brand. After about three decades, the tower was demolished. Buildings that Defy the Gravity.

10. Device to Root Out Evil (Dennis Oppenheim)

11. Hafengebaude Rohner

It is an office building which looks like floating in the middle of the air. It comes with small grounded volume which looks too heavy for the concrete mass on the top of it. 12. Norddeutsche Landesbank

This building is the head office of one largest bank in German. There are 17 stories in the building. Glass as well as steel boxes which were stacked looks like Jenga. 13. Sharpe Center

This building can be found in Ontario College of Art and Design. It has rectangle shape which is built as extension of existing building supported by 12 legs with various colors. The building had the mixture of modern structure and Victorian structure. It looks like huge mosaic table with 26 meters length. Two stories can be found for teaching and studio spaces.
